Aikido Denver

Ki-Aikido, a Japanese defensive martial art, works with the energy of an attack. The fluid rhythmic arts unbalance the opponent, taking her/him to the ground in a throw or pin. More than a martial art, the mind/body coordination practice of Ki-Aikido develops physical and mental balance, flexibility, and focus for handling the challenges of everyday life.

Ki-Aikido does not rely on size or strength; the art provides an excellent self-defense practice for women and men of all ages.

Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido

In Japan, Ki-Aikido is called Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido. Shin Shin Toitsu, which means “mind body unification, ” is a centering and focusing practice (sometimes referred to as Japanese yoga) that develops relaxation, mindfulness, coordination, flexibility, and balance.

Denver Ki Aikido is a Member of Rocky Mountain Ki Society Affiliated Dojos. Rocky
Mountain Ki Society was founded in Colorado in 1977 by Koichi Kashiwaya Sensei, 8th Dan chief instructor of Midland Ki Federation.
